Domain & Company name

Since my current domain name is a bit long and cumbersome (ryantaylordesigner.com) I'm brainstorming for new ideas and something that can also be used as a name for my new company. Ideally, the name will reflect creativity, art, design, technology, communication, something real cutting edge.

I could use some help from the outside. Since this is all an experiment in communication, let's make it fun, leave a comment with your ideas or even just random words or whatever to help my brain storm more violently.

The first steps towards public humilation.

Something tells me that blogging is important.  It's been all over the media for half of a decade, everybody's doing It, It's said to be a major player in the outcome of the most recent presidential election and It's probably played a major part in many smaller elections.  Most bloggers agree that It's the wave of the future.  Most bloggers are self-righteous pseudo-nerds looking for a fan club larger than 1.  This blogger is no different, although being called a blogger carries a painful sting.

The first time the word blog entered my head-space I laughed.  Why would someone combine two words as ugly as Web and Log? Nothing good can come from this.

That was Fall of 2001 and here we are, 8 years later and I'm making my official blogging debut.  The purpose is backwards, perhaps, but most of my purposes are that way.  You see, Technology has long been a home and an ally of mine and being an explorer, inquisitor, scientist (of sorts) there's a drive inside of me to understand all of the levels and angles of approach to the Internet beast.  My goal is to control internet communication in the way an artist controls the tools of their art.  The brush, pallet and canvas in the case of the painter.  Blogging is another brush.

Hopefully this is the beginning of something more than just a blog, although it may prove to be only that, it will be part of something bigger, an important, thriving, living part ... of something.

While this marks the beginning of my adventures into blogging, my sentiment remains the same: Nothing good can come from this.
